COURSE OVERVIEW
If you've ever wondered why accountability doesn't stick, why communication breaks down despite good intentions, or why technology investments fail to deliver the results you expected, you're not alone.
Many dentists assume these challenges stem from motivation, personality conflicts, resistance to change, or a lack of training. Yet in many cases, the real issue lies elsewhere entirely.
People working toward the same goals can experience the same practice very differently. As practices become increasingly complex, small differences in perception can create significant challenges across communication, accountability, workflow adoption, and team performance. The result is a frustrating cycle in which practice owners feel as though everything still falls back on them.
In this engaging and thought-provoking webinar, Dr. Martin Mendelson draws on concepts from neuroscience, behavioral science, leadership research, and his Wharton Executive Education studies to explore why teams drift out of alignment and what leaders can do about it.
Through relatable examples, interactive polling, and practical insights, participants will uncover hidden factors that shape team behavior, technology adoption, and organizational performance. Most importantly, they will leave with a renewed perspective and actionable strategies to drive greater alignment, accountability, and engagement within their practices.
Because meaningful change rarely begins with technology. It begins with understanding how people experience the world around them.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By attending this webinar you will learn how to:
-
Identify factors that cause individuals working toward the same goals to develop different perceptions, expectations, and workplace realities.
-
Describe how stress, bias, role perspective, and psychological safety influence communication, decision-making, and team performance.
-
Recognize how misalignment contributes to communication breakdowns, reduced accountability, and inconsistent implementation of systems and technologies.
-
Evaluate how leadership systems influence team behavior, organizational performance, and technology adoption within the dental practice.
-
Assess opportunities to strengthen alignment, communication, and team effectiveness within their own practices.
COURSE SPEAKER

Dr. Martin Mendelson is the founder of Metamorphosis Coaching and an executive coach, speaker, and leadership educator who helps leaders and organizations improve communication, strengthen team alignment, and build high-performing cultures through the application of the science of human behavior.
After a career-ending medical disability forced him to reinvent his professional path, Dr. Mendelson turned that adversity into a mission: helping individuals and teams thrive through neuroscience-informed leadership, emotional intelligence, communication science, and optimism science.
He is the author of One Move Makes All the Difference, a practical guide to mindset, resilience, and personal transformation. His work draws on insights from neuroscience, psychology, behavioral science, leadership research, and executive coaching to help leaders better understand how people think, communicate, make decisions, and perform under pressure.
Dr. Mendelson holds certifications in executive coaching, emotional intelligence, team facilitation, and happiness studies, along with two certifications from The Wharton School, one focused on neuroscience-driven leadership and the other on executive presence and influence. His interdisciplinary background enables him to translate complex research into practical strategies that leaders can apply immediately to strengthen trust, accountability, collaboration, and organizational performance.
Before launching Metamorphosis Coaching, Dr. Mendelson served as Resident Faculty at Spear Education and as Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine and at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
