Misty has a clear and simple way of influencing change and embodies a strong combination of business and dental hygiene experience.  Misty is a dynamic clinical leader with many facets. She has a strong combination of business and dental hygiene experience. Currently, Misty is the chief of dental hygiene of operations for Sage Dental in Florida and Georgia. Misty is the past president of the Georgia Dental Hygienist Association and past delegate for the American Dental Hygiene Association. Misty helped expand access to care for the less served and educated thousands of children on oral health. She was a pioneer that helped with legislative efforts to increase access to care, making Georgia the 47th state to work under general supervision and making Georgia the 40th direct access state. Misty served as VP of the board of dentistry in Georgia, being the first hygienist to hold the position. She was chair of the anesthesia committee that helped make Georgia the 48th state to allow hygienists to do local anesthesia. Her commitment to patient care is astounding, and her leadership has touched numerous organizations through her mentorship of leaders nationwide. Misty is the 2023 Women in DSO – Clinical Leadership recipient. This is the first time a hygienist has received such a high honor. She is recognized as a national clinical leader within the industry.

Misty brings her business expertise and clinical knowledge to the podium, with an innate ability to empower others and help them unleash their full potential. Misty is funny and delivers training in a way that people leave ready to take the next steps. You will not be disappointed.
