COURSE OVERVIEW
Early childhood dental visits are important for staving off tooth decay and a host of other health issues. More than 40 percent of children have tooth decay by the time they reach kindergarten, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Yet understandably, many parents and children dread going to the dentist.
To help create a positive experience that will transcend through adulthood dental visits, join Registered Dental Hygienist Francine Parathyras as she navigates you through a pediatric dental appointment.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
In this webinar, the presenter will address the care changes from young children through adolescence and adulthood, sharing key points, including:
- Creating a safe and welcoming environment for children and their families
- Helpful dialogue for discussions with parents
- Clinician goals for each visit
- The characteristics of each exam and treatment
