Michelle Kelman, DDS, is a pediatric dentist dedicated to exceptional pediatric and special needs oral healthcare in a caring, positive, and educational environment. In 2008, Dr. Kelman founded the Pediatric Dental Center in the Cedars Sinai Medical Towers and was director and chief clinician from 2008-2021. In addition to seeing patients full-time in practice, she supervised and trained two pediatric dental associates and a staff of 20—including front desk, registered dental hygienists, and assistants—in pediatric dental care and management of the well child, as well as medically compromised patients.  She has been on the medical surgical staff at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since 2008 and was the pediatric dentist for the Cedars-Sinai craniofacial team. She is a lecturer at the UCLA School of Dentistry, department of pediatrics, and served as an adjunct associate professor in the department of pediatric dentistry at the Herman Ostrow USC School of Dentistry.  Focusing on conservative and multidisciplinary care, she has lectured and consulted internationally—with general and pediatric dentists and pediatric physicians—on the incorporation of pediatric dentistry and modern pediatric dental techniques into the practice, as well as treatment of the medically-compromised patient.  With her advanced expertise in a large scope of pediatric and special needs dentistry in private practice, the operating room, and working with multidisciplinary teams, Dr. Kelman has acted as an expert witness for dental-related cases over the years.  Dr. Kelman is on the medical expert team for whattoexpect.com and kidsinthehouse.com, along with other parent-focused websites and has educated parents with medically compromised children on oral health preventive dentistry.  Dr. Kelman received her bachelor of science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Southern California. She is a recipient of the USC Behavioral Dentistry Award for outstanding humanistic qualities in the treatment of patients and the USC Award for outstanding achievement in pediatric dentistry. She completed her residency training in pediatric dentistry at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in association with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
