Dr. Mark Roettger earned his dental degree from the University of Minnesota in 1982. He started a solo private practice in General Dentistry in Stillwater Minnesota in 1983. Early in his career he became a charter and founding member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry. He served for several years on the Board of Directors for the organization and in 1998 became the president of the Academy. He has served as a dental consultant to the Minnesota Vikings Football Club in the NFL as well as all the intercollegiate programs at the University of Minnesota. Currently Dr Roettger is an Associate Professor in the Department of Developmental and Surgical Sciences; Division of Hospital and Special Care Dentistry and he serves as the Chief of Dental Services in the University of Minnesota Medical Center, overseeing the admitting service, consult service and the emergency service and a part of the medical executive committee of the University Hospital.
