Dr. Marika Dekanoidze graduated with honours from the University of Toronto in 2001. Since 2003, Dr. Marika integrated clear-aligners to her practice. Her passion for clear-aligner orthodontics and advanced training in occlusion (she holds a specialty degree in Prosthodontics from Moscow State University School of Dentistry) allowed her to push and exceed the limitations of what one could achieve with clear-aligners in the past, thus paving the road for your future success. Utilizing a holistic approach, combined with the science and art of clear-aligner orthodontics, Dr. Marika has pioneered the industry. Align Technology recognized her as the first woman to be of “Elite”, “Super Elite” ranking and the top 1% provider in North America (designations given by Align Technology, not officially endorsed by RCDSO). In 2019, she received her 3000+ Cases Lifetime Achievement Award. During 2017-2020 she has been extensively working with Clear Correct, Straumann group and actively participating in the integration of AI in orthodontics and general dentistry. By being a Clic Study Club Mentor, and a TPS Mentor, it is evident that she is very passionate in assisting other doctors to advance in clear aligner therapy to help take their practices to the next level of digital revolution. Dr. Marika has numerous proprietary materials, such as the Classification of Misalignment©, CEO Principle and a System of Aligner Trackers. Furthermore, Dr. Marika founded LEMAL® Inc., the purpose of which is to help independent dentists offer affordable clear-aligner therapy to their patients. In addition to aiding their patients, this will also grow their practices, while maintaining the highest ethical and professional standard of care. She regularly volunteers at YSM’s Evergreen Health Centre providing dental care to Toronto’s underprivileged youth. Additionally, her family and staff support the annual Ski for Sick Kids event where charitable donations and proceeds help develop new techniques to treat children with facial deformities. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, boating and playing the piano.
